Great sins do draw out great grace; and where guilt is most terrible and fierce, there the mercy of God in Christ, when showed to the soul, appears most high and mighty I only give it three stars because of the author and historical value, but despite the smattering of quotable lines, and the insight into the back story of Christian, it was a dry groan of a read I am glad to have finished.

I think he might have benefitted from a good shaking and a gruff exhortation to get over himself, look to Jesus, and go do something practical.
